Will “Wakabuggie” dee was an independent electronic artist born and raised in Hamilton Ontario. Self-producing and recording albums since 12 years old, all the while refusing to sit still through tutorials forced Will to come up with a very distinctive sound. Growing up in rural Ontario Will has always had a deep connection with nature, which features prominently in his music, both in atmosphere and subject matter. Atmosphere was always a big part of Wakabuggie's sound, as he himself seemed to connect with that part of art more than a lot of the other parts. He would often start with an atmosphere, and build his way off of that.
He was thrilled to be featured in Toronto record label Imaginary North’s 2023 compilation Today Until Tomorrow which was able to donate 1,000 USD to Music Declares Emergency, a musician-run climate change fund. Wakabuggie was later featured on Imaginary North Transmission 007 in January of 2024, and the Label's second compilation for climate, The Longest Time.
Throwing together his first performed set for a High School coffee house in November of 2023 Will accidentally began his live music career. With a love for being on stage and an affinity for performing, Will was finally able to merge his outwardly silly energy and odd humour with his music, as well as his self instructed dance moves, completing his perfect circle of life.
Will's extensive career of hobbies didn't end at music. Will was the writer and director of various short films, including (but not limited to) The Bread Thief (2023) and Mark & Wheaton(2022)
Will died peacefully on a bed of leaves in one of those spots in the forest where you think, “man, I could totally die here and be fine with it” in late 2025
